The island of Grand Bahama is on its way to becoming the technology hub of The Bahamas, and is the island of The Bahamas with a variety of industries.
BTVI Northern Bahamas Campus oversees the Abaco and Bimini interested applicants and enrollees and is staffed by 20 full-time instructors and staff. Before the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, a BTVI Centre was located in Marsh Harbour which processed approximately 70+ students.
While available to offer all of BTVI’s existing programs, BTVI Northern Bahamas emphasis is on industry and information communications and technology training. General program offerings include associate degrees in Office Administration, Office Technology, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering; certificates/diplomas in Construction, Automotive and Electrical Trades, Office Assistant, Information Technology, and Electronics. Professional development programs/courses are based on demand, but the popular courses are Single Phase Electrical, Nail Technology, QuickBooks, and Face Care and Makeup. Industry based and customized initiatives in which the Northern Bahamas Campus focuses are the Freeport Container Port Engineering, Trade Helpers, Grand Bahama Shipyard Applied Science, and Information and Communications Technology programs.
