FASHION DESIGN PRODUCTION I
Program Description:
The Fashion Design Production I program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare the student to enter the workforce as a self-employed garment maker, a machinist, or garment industry occupations involving altering, pressing, and pattern making. The skills, knowledge, and attitudes to be acquired by students are found in the course syllabi. This program requires a minimum of 5 semesters. The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute Certificate is awarded in Fashion Design Production I for successful completion of the program.

To enter the program students are required to have Mathematics and English BJC with grades of C or above. It may be necessary for students to enroll in preparatory English and Math if they do not possess the requisite entry requirements.
Period of Candidacy
Students must complete all requirements within five (5) years. Students that do not comply with this rule will be required to start the program over including previously passed courses. Students requesting exemption from courses previously completed must possess a grade of B or higher.
