Career Counseling
Career Counseling provides assistance to current and perspective students regarding the variety of career services available to them at The Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute. With the use of Career Assessment Instruments, persons are advised regarding career choices in which they are more likely to be successful. The students are provided with advice and information that will enable them to achieve their goals.
Persons are also assisted with:
• Identifying technical & vocational colleges and universities abroad accurately completing the application process and on-time submission.
• Identifying scholarships to assist them with educational pursuits after BTVI, such as the Lyford Cay Foundation Technical Training & Vocational Scholarship
• Induction into the internationally recognized National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is a non-profit international honour organization established to recognize excellence in workforce education programmes and majors. Membership in this organization is competitive and granted only to those students at BTVI who exhibit qualities of “Citizenship, Leadership, Honesty, Responsibility, Leadership, Service and Skill.” For more information visit their website at www.nths.org
