AUTO MECHANICS – DIPLOMA

The Auto Mechanics program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare the student to enter the workforce as an Auto Technician Trainee, a vehicle service writer, an Auto Supplies Salesperson, or a Motor Engineer’s Assistant. This program requires approximately 4 semesters for completion provided that the student is full-time.  The skills, knowledge, and attitudes to be acquired by students are found in the course syllabi. The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Certificate in Auto Mechanics is awarded upon successful completion of the program.

To enter the program students are required to have Mathematics and English BJC with grades of C or above.  It may be necessary for students to enroll in preparatory English and Math if they do not possess the requisite entry requirements.  

 

Period of Candidacy

Students must complete all requirements within five (5) years.   Students that do not comply with this rule will be required to start the program over including previously passed courses.  Students requesting exemption from courses previously completed must possess a grade of B or higher.
