JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of The Day Care Center Supervisor, this individual will perform child care duties during the general operating hours of the Day Care Center or as otherwise directed.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous childcare experience in a pre-school setting. (preferred)
  • Certificate in Early Childhood Education. (preferred but not required)
  • CPR Training Certificate. (preferred)

Required Experience:

  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in a daycare or preschool environment.

Specialized Skills and Abilities:

  • Genuine love of children and a commitment to their growth, safety, and development.
  • Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively with parents, students, and staff.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team.
  • Ability to provide and maintain a clean, safe, and engaging childcare environment conducive to learning.
  • Maintains a clean environment; performs minor cleaning duties as required or assigned, including body fluid clean-up, sanitizing area, and light housekeeping.
  • Ensures safe play conditions and follows established security procedures.
  • Observes specific parent directions for feeding, nap times, and special needs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of activities for the children based on the prescribed curriculum.
  • Ability to provide basic first aid and emergency care
