General Education

General Education

BTVI’s General Education programme comprises a series of courses designed to help students further maximise their potential, prepare them for their technical and vocational careers and provide a foundation for life-long learning.  The Gen Ed English and Mathematics courses provide students with specific literacy and numeracy skills and competencies which enrich their everyday lives and which may be applied directly to the workplace.  The computer literacy courses help students acquire the foundational knowledge and skills upon which they can continue to build.  The public speaking course helps students develop the confidence and skill sets needed to present to a variety of audiences. The Humanities and Psychology courses help students acquire a deeper understanding of themselves and others and the world in which we live.
